Orthogonal Pooled Screening

Patented repository technologies and novel data analysis approaches are the foundations of our successful application for Orthogonal Pooled Screening (OPS). LCGC offers a more efficient way of conducting high-throughput screening (HTS), and possibly far more. HTS-OPS provides a totally new opportunity to economically discover drug synergy, either through conditioned screening ('synthetic lethal') or by serendipity ('naked synergy').

The OPS method is an abbreviated, highly efficient HTS paradigm that enables five-fold improvement in lead-finding ability with 80% cost-reduction. The LCGC library (100,000 small molecules not in commercial catalogs) was pooled with best practices in computational chemistry and automated compound-management operations. The ways by which LCGC implements OPS lowers costs and enhances data quality for large-scale screening enterprises, and also greatly expands ability for smaller labs to discover novel drug leads simply and effectively. Peer-reviewed publications clearly have validated that—when properly applied—OPS works better than the tedious screening of compounds, 99% of which provide no truly useful data.
